15 years ago, my four month old son almost died.

His skin was pale, his temperament was calm, and he wasn’t eating. He wasn’t himself. On the outside he wasn't crying, but in my heart I knew, on the inside he was in pain. Through the chaos, I would come to learn his white blood cells had turned on his body, destroying over 80% of his red blood cells.
